Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh in presence of Chief Minister of Assam Shri Tarun Gogoi, on 29 November, 2014 laid the foundation of a new Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Mirza town, near Guwahati.

At the occasion, Home Minister said that the state-of-the-art CFSL will help the law enforcement agencies in catching high-tech criminals through quality and clinching forensic evidence. He also said cyber crime was a big challenge to the modern society and appealed to the forensic fraternity to join hands with government in handling sophisticated crimes by providing forensic solutions in a time-bound manner
